When renovating a garden one of the first steps is to decide what to keep. The brief for this garden, being simple and formal left little to be salvaged. Only three larger shrubs (Camellia, Magnolia, and Queensland box) were kept to maintain some depth to the garden.

We decided to have the lines clean and simple in keeping with the design and only 6 types of plants were chosen to fill out the beds.
